Are you looking for the items that are really on top in Murder Mystery 2? Below is a tier list based on trading values from October 2026, with a reason for every spot. I'll start with one important thing: in MM2, "best" means "most valuable and rarest", not "strongest".

How to read this ranking

Value in MM2 is not official. These are points made by communities, for example MM2Values and Supreme Values. They are not Robux or any kind of money, and the lists differ from each other by a few percent. That is why I write "about" next to the numbers and give ranges.

Damage doesn't matter here either. According to BloxBoom, all knives deal the same damage, so a spot in the ranking is decided by demand, supply and looks.

Let me quickly remind you how rarity levels work in the game. According to the game wiki they are: Unique, Ancient, Godly (including Chroma), Legendary, Rare, Uncommon, Common and Vintage. This ranking is mostly based on Chroma, Ancient and Godly.

Tier S: out of reach and the king of the market

Nik's Scythe (Ancient). The game wiki says there are only 7 confirmed owners, although other pages of the wiki may give a different number. You can only get it from the creator, Nikilis, with a special code. Sites value it very differently, so there is no single reliable value. Treat it as a fun fact, not a real goal.

Chroma Traveler's Gun (Chroma). This is the most valuable item that is actually traded in the game. According to Supreme Values and game.guide, it is worth about 140k points. It wins with its rarity and animated rainbow colors. Chroma items are items that change colors, and there are far fewer of them than regular Godly items.

Tier A: top-shelf Chroma

• Chroma Evergun: about 53-55k points. It is the second most expensive item in circulation, and together with Chroma Evergreen it makes a strong set.
• Chroma Evergreen: about 40-42k points (a few lists say 39-41k). It is the most expensive knife in circulation, so in knife rankings it is usually number one.

Why so high? Both have a holiday theme, rarely show up in offers and are in high demand among collectors.

Tier B: "mid-level" Chroma and strong Ancients

• Chroma Bauble: about 29-33k points.
• Chroma Constellation: about 26-27k.
• Chroma Alienbeam: about 23-24k.
• Gingerscope (Ancient): about 15k. BloxBoom calls it the best Ancient.
• Traveler's Axe (Ancient): about 7-8k.

These are items you aim for once you already have a solid stock of Godly items. The numbers from different lists differ the most here, so check at least two before a trade.

Tier C: the best regular Godly items

These items often show up in offers and are easy to trade. Values according to game.guide and Supreme Values:

• Traveler's Gun: about 5.2k. It is the most valuable regular Godly.
• Evergun: about 3.4k.
• Evergreen: about 2.7k.
• Constellation: about 2.6k.

Regular Godly items are good "fuel" for trading up. Sites advise collecting several of them and getting closer to Chroma that way. By the way, the values alone show that Chroma Evergreen is worth about 15 times more than a regular Evergreen.

Tier D: cheap beginnings

• Cane Knife (2018): it is only Rare, but according to BloxBoom it is worth about 950. That site considers it the best budget choice.
• Latte: the best Legendary, about 150.

Elderwood Scythe is a mess. One list puts it in the highest tier of Ancients, another gives it about 38 points. Until you check the current value, don't count on it in a trade.

What about pets?

Pets in MM2 are mostly decoration, but they have their own legends. For example: Frostbird is a Godly pet that could be bought in the last tier of the Christmas Event 2018. Today only trading is left. The wiki describes it as a blue reskin of the Phoenix.

A fun fact from the other end of the scale: the Snowman Pet from the Christmas Event 2019 is Common and, according to the wiki, it can't be traded because of a trading bug (this information may be out of date).

What about Halloween 2026?

The autumn event shakes up the market a lot, because retired items usually get more expensive. As of 15 October 2026, sites reported that no official date or new map had been confirmed. The loud "leak" with witches was considered fake. So don't trust rumors, only the game's official page.

Where the shop fits in

Very expensive items dominate the ranking, but what you like to wear doesn't have to be expensive. These are more options for looks and collecting than investments, because their trading value depends on community lists.
