Steal a Brainrot Update 71: Skeleton Event and New Secrets

Halloween in Steal a Brainrot has a second part. Update 71 came out on 17 October 2026 and brings a new hourly event and a few limited Secrets. Below is everything we could confirm (as of 18 October 2026).

Skeleton Event: what it is

The Skeleton Event starts every hour and sends skeletons around the map. They can put traits on Brainrots. The game wiki says the most common one is the normal skeleton and the rarest is the Witch Skeleton, with a 5% chance.

The event repeats, so if you miss one round, nothing is lost. Skipping one activation does not close the way to the rest of Halloween.

Three limited Secrets from the event

The Skeleton Event pool has three Brainrots in the Secret rarity:

• Skelly and Coffy: 155 M/s, the strongest of the three.
• Chicken Zombie: 5.5 M/s.
• Co Co Co Sahur: 1.7 M/s.

Skelly and Coffy is the rarest of them. You can't get it by just waiting on a normal conveyor or through a merchandise code. The only way is the event itself.

Other Brainrots from Update 71

In total, seven new characters came into the game. Besides the three from the event, there are four more:

• Arca Bros (Secret): 250 M/s, comes through a merchandise code (merchandise DLC).
• Medusini and Demonini (Secret): 180 M/s, according to TheClick part of the themed Update 71 list, with no confirmed way to get it.
• Cobra Gelato (Secret): 77.5 M/s, merchandise code.
• Slushi Huski (Brainrot God): 322.5 K/s, merchandise code.

The ones with codes need physical merchandise to be bought. The wiki describes such Brainrots as requiring real money to be spent. You don't need them to play well, and a parent should know about this kind of spending.

How to get ready for the event

Guides mention a few simple things:

• Leave at least one free slot in your base before the event starts.
• Join a server with Update 71. If you don't see the event, leave and join a fresh server.
• When a Brainrot appears, move fast, because other players are chasing the same one. Then secure it in your base right away.

What came before: Haunted Fuse and Skull Lucky Block

This is already the third Halloween wave this year. It started on 3 October with Update 69, which added the Haunted Fuse machine and the Eclipse mutation. A week later came Update 70: the Skull Lucky Block costs 500 M, holds eight Brainrots, and the rarest reward is Dragon Skeletonini.

How long will it last? Some sites write that Halloween will last five weeks and end at the start of November. This is an estimate, not an announced date, so watch the messages in the game.
