Grow a Garden best pets tier list (October 2026)
Which pets in Grow a Garden really earn you Sheckles, and which ones just look cute? A ranking with each pet's ability and how to get it.

A pet in Grow a Garden isn't a mascot, it's a worker in your garden. A good pet adds mutations, copies fruit or speeds up other pets, while a weak one just walks around next to you. Below is our October 2026 ranking: what each pet does, how much it gives, and whether you can still get it.
Items for Grow a Garden are in the DzikShop storeHow we rate pets
We look at three things. First, how many Sheckles the ability really adds (usually through mutations, because each one multiplies a fruit's price). Second, whether it works on its own, without special garden setups. Third, whether the pet can still be obtained in the game, or only through trades.
The ranking is our opinion, based on the ability descriptions on the Grow a Garden wiki. Other sites order it a bit differently, for example the Beebom tier list from April 2026 puts Cockatrice and Lobster Thermidor higher. We give mutation multipliers according to the wiki, as of October 2026.
Tier S: pets that earn on their own
Kitsune
Kitsune (Prismatic rarity) visits other players' gardens, puts the Chakra or Foxfire Chakra mutation on a fruit and gives you a copy. Chakra is x15 and Foxfire Chakra is x90, so you get someone else's fruit right away with a strong multiplier.
How to get it: Zen Egg with a chance of only 0.08%. The wiki says this egg is available in the Forever Pack. In practice, most players look for it in trades.
Raccoon
Raccoon (Divine) now and then sneaks a fruit from another player's plot and gives it to you. An important detail: since Easter Event 2026 part 4, the fruit is duplicated again, so the owner doesn't lose it. The pet won't work when your fruit inventory is full, so keep an eye on your space.
How to get it: Night Egg (0.1%) or Premium Night Egg (1%). According to the wiki, the Night Egg is in the Forever Pack.
Disco Bee
Disco Bee (Divine) turns a nearby fruit into the Disco mutation, which gives x125. For a long time this was one of the strongest multipliers a pet could apply. Today there are pets with even higher mutations, but Disco Bee still does the job in any garden.
How to get it: it came from the Anti Bee Egg (0.25%) and it's limited, so you can't hatch it from an egg anymore. Trades are what's left.
T-Rex
T-Rex (Divine) eats the mutation from one fruit and spreads it to other fruit in the garden. If you have several fruit with an expensive mutation, T-Rex can multiply it. It doesn't transfer the Gold, Silver and Rainbow variants, and it skips fruit marked as favorites.
How to get it: limited, it was in the Dinosaur Egg with a 0.5% chance.

Tier A: very strong, but with conditions
Dragonfly (Divine) now and then turns a random fruit into Gold, an x20 variant. It doesn't work on fruit that already has a variant (for example Silver or Rainbow). Plus: you can still hatch it from the Bug Egg with a 1% chance.
Corrupted Kitsune (Prismatic) puts Corrupted Chakra (x15) on 9 fruit at once, and sometimes the rare Corrupted Foxfire Chakra (x90). It's limited, it was in the Kitsune Chest.
Mimic Octopus (Mythical) copies the ability of another one of your pets and performs it one more time. With a strong team it's almost a second top pet. Downsides: it can't copy a few pets, including French Fry Ferret and Red Panda. You can get it from the Paradise Egg (1%).
Spinosaurus (Divine) works the opposite way from T-Rex: it eats mutations from several fruit and puts them on one. Great when you want to build one very expensive fruit. Limited, it was in the Primal Egg (0.5%).
Butterfly (Mythical) roughly every 30 minutes flies to a fruit with at least 5 mutations, removes 5 mutations from it and turns it into Rainbow (x50). It pays off when you have fruit with a large number of weaker mutations. Limited.
Golden Goose (Divine) lays a Golden Egg plant with the Fortune mutation (x50). Selling this egg can give Fortune to a random fruit in the garden. You can still get it from the Sprout Egg (1%).
Queen Bee (Divine) pollinates fruit (Pollinated mutation, x3) and refreshes the pet with the longest cooldown. The second part makes her great support for Kitsune or Raccoon. Limited, she was in the Bee Egg (1%).

Tier B: good team add-ons
- Lobster Thermidor (Divine): a chance for the Molten (x25) and Meteoric (x125) mutations. Limited.
- Swan (Divine): visits another player's pet and performs its ability, sometimes applies Graceful (x77). You can get it from the Fall Egg (1%).
- Cockatrice (Divine): a screech that turns nearby fruit into Silver or Gold, plus a venom with bonuses. You can get it from the Enchanted Egg (1%).
- Phoenix (Divine): applies Flaming (x25), and pets taken out of the Pet Mutation Machine get an age bonus. Limited.
- Fennec Fox (Divine): copies a mutation from another player's fruit onto your fruit. Limited.
- French Fry Ferret (Divine): now and then raises another pet's level by 1. Handy when you want to quickly get a pet to level 50, because that's what the Pet Mutation Machine requires.
Easier pets to get
You don't have to start with pets that have a 0.1% chance. Scarlet Macaw (Legendary) has a 16% chance every 8 minutes for the Verdant mutation (x4) and hatches from the Paradise Egg with as much as an 8% chance. Red Fox (Divine) tries to steal seeds from other players' plants and is still in the Mythical Egg (1.5%). Red Panda (Divine) restocks a random item in the seed shop, gear shop or egg shop. According to the wiki, you can buy it from the Fall Merchant for 1.2 billion Sheckles, so it's more of a goal for later.
What about the new pets?
The game gets an update almost every week, so the ranking gets outdated. According to the wiki, pets like Space Squirrel (Voidtouched x135 and Abyssal x240 mutations) or Lemon Lion (Mind Bender x175) already have higher multipliers than Disco Bee. The Fairy Event 2026, running since 10 October, added Wolpertinger, Redcap and Manticore, but for now too little is known about their abilities to rate them fairly.
How to get pets
- Eggs. Most pets hatch from eggs from the egg shop or from events. At the start you have 3 egg slots in your garden.
- Trades. For trading you need a Trading Ticket from the Gear Shop (100,000 Sheckles or 19 Robux). You can trade pets and harvested fruit, up to 13 items at once. The account must be at least 10 days old.
- Gifts. You can give fruit and pets to a friend by standing next to them. Before every trade, read our article on how not to get scammed in trades.
Pets are closely tied to mutations, so if you want to know how a fruit's price is calculated and why x125 makes such a difference, check out the Grow a Garden mutations guide. And for how pets fit into the whole plan for earning, we write in the article how to earn Sheckles fast.
Some of the pets from this ranking are also in DzikShop's offer. For delivery we only need your Roblox username, never your password, and we hand over the item in the game.

What is the best pet in Grow a Garden?
There is no single winner, but Kitsune, Raccoon and Disco Bee are near the top of almost every list. Kitsune and Raccoon copy fruit from other players' gardens, and Disco Bee gives the Disco mutation with an x125 multiplier.
How do you get the Raccoon in Grow a Garden?
Raccoon hatches from a Night Egg with a 0.1% chance or from a Premium Night Egg with a 1% chance. According to the game's wiki, the Night Egg is available in the Forever Pack. You can also get it in a trade with another player.
Can you still get the Disco Bee?
Not from an egg. Disco Bee was a limited pet from the Anti Bee Egg and, according to the wiki, it can no longer be hatched. What's left is trading with players who own one.
How many pets can you equip at once?
3 at the start. Your inventory fits 60 pets, and each Pet Pouch adds one slot, up to +50.
What level does an account need to trade pets?
Account age matters, not level. An account younger than 10 days can't trade, but it can give and receive gifts.
