How to make Sheckles fast in Grow a Garden (October 2026)
A plan for earning Sheckles in Grow a Garden from your first carrot to billions: which seeds to plant, when to sell and what really multiplies your profit.

Sheckles are the currency you use for almost everything in Grow a Garden: seeds, gear, eggs and garden expansions. The good news is that earning them can be split into simple stages. The bad news: there is no single trick that makes you a millionaire in 5 minutes. Here is a plan that works (as of October 2026).
Items for Grow a Garden are in the DzikShop storeFirst, understand where the price comes from
You sell fruit at the Sell Stuff stand. Its price depends on four things: the plant's base value, the fruit's weight, its variant (Gold, Rainbow) and its mutation. According to the game's wiki, weight counts squared, so a fruit that is twice as heavy is worth four times more.
Two rules for the whole game come from this:
- More expensive seeds give more expensive fruit.
- Mutations and big fruit multiply your profit more than anything else.
Stage 1: your first thousands
At the start you have little money, so speed matters. Sam's shop always has four seeds: Carrot (10 Sheckles), Strawberry (50), Blueberry (400) and Tomato (800). Carrot is harvested once, while Strawberry, Blueberry and Tomato are multi-harvest plants. Plant them once and they give fruit many times.
So the best start looks like this:
- buy a few Strawberry and move on to Blueberry as soon as you can,
- fill your garden with multi-harvest plants instead of just carrots,
- turn every profit straight into more expensive seeds.
The seed shop restocks every 5 minutes, and the stock is the same on all servers. If you spot a rare seed, buy it right away, because it may be gone at the next restock.
Stage 2: hundreds of thousands and millions
Once you have a steady income, aim for higher-tier multi-harvest plants. Here are a few example prices from the Seed Shop list:
| Seed | Price | Shop chance |
|---|---|---|
| Corn | 1,300 | 1 in 6 |
| Apple | 3,250 | 1 in 14 |
| Coconut | 6,000 | 1 in 20 |
| Cactus | 15,000 | 1 in 30 |
| Dragon Fruit | 50,000 | 1 in 50 |
| Mango | 100,000 | 1 in 80 |
| Grape | 850,000 | 1 in 100 |
| Pepper | 1,000,000 | 1 in 140 |
Every plant in this table is multi-harvest. On the other hand, watch out for cheap one-time plants like Watermelon or Pumpkin: they look worth it, but after a single harvest you have to buy a new seed.
Use your offline time
Plants grow even when you are not playing, which the game states directly in its description on the Grow a Garden page on Roblox. Before you leave, plant whatever takes the longest to ripen, and when you come back you have a full garden to harvest.
Play with friends
Every friend on the same server gives +10% Sheckles, up to 40%. It is the simplest bonus in the game and it costs nothing.
Stage 3: mutations, where the real money is
From a certain point you earn more from the quality of your fruit than from how many you have. A fruit with the Shocked mutation (x100) is worth a hundred times more than a normal one, and Gold multiplies the price by another 20.
The most important habits:
- Don't harvest everything during a storm. Rain and Thunderstorm speed up growth by 50% and give the Wet and Shocked mutations. Give your plants time.
- Keep the biggest fruit. A big fruit with a mutation is the best item in the game.
- Mark fruit as favorite so you don't sell it by accident along with the rest.
We wrote out the exact multipliers and ways to combine mutations in our guide to mutations in Grow a Garden.
Pets that earn for you
A good pet is a second player in your garden. The most useful ones for earning are:
- Raccoon and Kitsune: they copy fruit from other players' gardens and give it to you.
- Dragonfly: every now and then it turns a fruit into Gold (x20).
- Golden Goose: it lays a Golden Egg with the Fortune mutation (x50).
- Monkey: it has a chance to give you back a fruit you sold (from 2.5% to 8%), so you sell it a second time.

Small bonuses that add up
Crop Mastery. The game counts how many times you plant, harvest and sell each plant. At the highest mastery level, level 5, the plant grows faster and gives heavier fruit, both bonuses at x1.15. That is why it pays to have one "signature" plant.
Season Pass. Daily quests give XP for the Season Pass, and levels reward you with eggs and gear. The free track gives something too.
Lucky Harvest. When you harvest some plants, you can get an extra seed for free. Pets like Snail raise the chance of this bonus, so it is a good way to plant expensive crops more cheaply.
Selling pets you don't need. Pets you don't use can be sold at Sell Stuff or at the Pet Shop. Before you do, though, check whether they are worth more in a trade with another player.
Playtime Luck. The longer you stay on one server, the more luck you get. The bonus counts within a single session on a server, so hopping around often doesn't build it up.
What to spend big money on
Once you are counting in hundreds of millions, it is time to expand your garden. The side expansions cost 250 million Sheckles each, the first back one 500 million (with a 24-hour wait) and the second 1 billion (72 hours). Together that is 2 billion and about 65% more land.
The next goal is Ascension. For 1 trillion Sheckles (sometimes the game also wants a fruit with a specific mutation) you get 10 Garden Coins for permanent upgrades. Each next Ascension costs 1 trillion more, and you have to wait 4 hours between them.
What to avoid
- Selling everything with one click without checking whether there is something valuable in your backpack.
- "Free Sheckles" from strangers. Nobody needs your password to give you something in the game. You can read more about this in our article on Roblox account safety.
- Paying to refresh the shop at every chance. The Seed Shop restocks by itself every 5 minutes anyway, so usually it is enough to wait a moment and harvest your crops in the meantime.
- Rushing for rare seeds. It is better to wait for an expensive multi-harvest seed than to burn money on a few one-time ones.
