Brookhaven RP Beginner Guide (October 2026)

Brookhaven RP is a virtual town with no levels, no points and no fighting. You decide who you are: a house owner, a doctor, a driver or someone completely different. Below you will find a plan for your first minutes, things worth checking out and mistakes that spoil the fun at the start (up to date on 17 October 2026).

The first 10 minutes: house, car, role

Right after you join, you land in the town center. At the start, three things will be useful: a free plot from the house menu, a car from the vehicle menu and a role to play. You can do all of it in a few minutes, and the official creators' guide describes the same thing.

You pick a house from the house menu. Go to a free plot and claim it.

The car appears for free, and jobs are more like roles to play than a way to earn. So you do not have to "farm" anything. This is a big difference compared to games like Steal a Brainrot, where everything is about progress.

Houses: what is free and what needs a gamepass

According to the game's wiki there are over 115 houses, and many of them are free. They are split into a few types:

• Standard plots (#11-32 and #35-36): 21 plots, of which 15 are free and 6 need the Land Unlocked gamepass. You can choose from over 80 house styles.
• Estates (#33, #34, #37): large, luxury properties. They need the Estates Unlocked gamepass. They are in Crown Pointe (north), Blackhawk (south) and on the island near the stable.
• Apartments: plot #6 is free, and #7 is the Penthouse with its own gamepass. You will find them above the grocery store.
• Motel (#1-5): rooms near the spawn. One of the six is VIP, the rest are free.
• Landmark: the Nuclear Power Plant in Blackhawk, near the airport. It is public, and you cannot lock the doors or ban anyone there.

The wiki lists the prices as 500 Robux for Land Unlocked and 800 Robux for Estates Unlocked. Other websites show different amounts, so check the current price on the game page. What to focus on at the start

• Learn the interactions in your house. You can sit down, use the fridge, oven, shower and washing machine, lock the doors, dim the lights and open the garage. You can also change the name sign and the colors.
• Start acting out a scene. Home, family, hospital, police. Without a story, Brookhaven quickly gets boring. A lot also depends on who happens to be playing on the server.
• Look for secrets. Many houses have hidden rooms or escape tunnels. On the wiki there are also secrets around the map, for example the cemetery, the yacht on Lake Madison and a hidden room in the hospital.
• Keep an eye on new houses. New houses go to the top section of the menu, and they have sparkles next to them.

The hospital recently got a refresh, so the secrets described on the wiki may have changed. Check them in the game and do not treat the description as certain.

The most common mistakes of new players

1. Buying a gamepass at the start. You do not need it to get to know the game. First play for a few days with the free things and see what you are missing.

2. Adding strangers as a Roommate. Only add people you know to the roles in your house.

3. Trying to claim a gamepass plot without the gamepass. If a plot will not let you claim it, it is probably locked. Check whether it is Land Unlocked, Estates Unlocked or the Penthouse.

4. Changing houses all the time. After you give up or swap a house, you have to wait a bit. The wiki gives two values (10 minutes and 2 minutes), so do not plan your scene down to the second.

5. Believing in "free Robux". No player can give them to you, and links to outside websites are a common scammer method. Never give anyone your password. We described how to look after your account in the guide about securing your Roblox account.

6. Moving the conversation outside the game. Invites from strangers to private servers and pushing you to move to Discord or another app are warning signs. If that happens, say no, block and report the person.

Safety: in short for players and parents

Roblox rates the game as Minimal, which means it is suitable for everyone. The developer says there is no voice chat or camera in Brookhaven, and since January 2026 age verification is needed for chat. Still, what happens on a server depends on the players. Many scenes are innocent, but strange offers also happen.

Parents can set limits for chat, spending and play time. It is all in the article Parental controls on Roblox. According to information from third-party websites, private servers are a monthly subscription paid in Robux, so it is an option for those who want to play only with friends.

What's new in Brookhaven (up to date on 17 October 2026)

The game page describes the newest update as Hospital Refresh: 8 new hospital tools and refreshed ambulances and rescue helicopters. The Welcome to the Spa event promises a relaxing estate and a matching free house, props and tools. According to third-party websites, Halloween is to run from 23 October to 6 November. The creators have not revealed the content of the Halloween event yet, so treat lists of "all houses" from the internet as guessing.
