How many people play Steal an Egg? Numbers from October 2026

In less than three months, Steal an Egg turned into one of the biggest games on Roblox. We checked the numbers directly in the public Roblox API and in sites that track games. All the data below is a reading from 13 October 2026, around 5:20 a.m. CEST (3:20 UTC).

The player count is a value from a single moment, and an early-morning one. In the evening and on weekends it is usually clearly higher. One server holds at most 7 people, so those almost 920 thousand people are playing on at least 130 thousand servers.

The record: over 14 million at once

The site Rolimon's recorded a record of 14,293,524 players at the same time, about three weeks before our reading, so in September 2026. RoWatcher gives the same thing rounded: 14.3 million, September 2026.

For comparison: on 9 September 2026, the site Player.One wrote that according to the GGAID tracker, about 1.3 million people were playing Steal an Egg at that time, and Rolimon's showed a record close to 9.9 million. At that moment the game had more players than Brookhaven RP (about 400 thousand) and Blox Fruits (about 305 thousand). So the record grew by a few million within a couple of weeks after that article.

When the game came out

According to Roblox data, the game was created on 25 July 2026. The developers most recently published a new version of the game on 12 October 2026. The wiki describes six big updates: from the Cherry Blossom biome (update 1), through Titan Temple, Rifts and Angels & Demons, all the way to the Dr. Scramble events (updates 5 and 6). There was one serious break along the way. According to AllThingsHow, on the evening of 24 August 2026 the game disappeared from Roblox for about three to four hours. It came back without the feed of short videos that was shown on the conveyor belt. Roblox did not give a public reason, and less than an hour after the return there were already over 480 thousand people in the game.

Who is behind Steal an Egg

The game is published by a verified community (group) on Roblox. The game's wiki gives its name as Collect Rare Pets, and in Roblox data it appears as “and Collect Rare Pets”. The group has 98,527,162 members. Joining it is, by the way, one of the three steps to a free gift in the game (10,000 Speed).

During the August break, the developer MSFMooses contacted players on Discord and said that the team was working with Roblox to bring the game back.

How it compares to Steal a Brainrot

At the same moment when Steal an Egg had almost 920 thousand players, Steal a Brainrot had 86,658 according to the Roblox API. On the other hand, Steal a Brainrot has over 73.9 billion visits, because it has been running since May 2025, and its record according to the wiki is over 25.8 million players at once. Where the popularity comes from

A simple idea (run, steal an egg, escape), frequent updates and events that, according to the wiki, come back every 30 minutes keep something going on in the game all the time.
