Dr. Scramble is a mad scientist who took over Steal an Egg for two weeks in September. The event had two parts: first drones, then a huge mech. We put everything in one place: what it brought, what you get currencies for and what is still left in the game.

The story started with the "SAMMY IS COMING" event on 19 September 2026. According to Roonby, Ben, the Admin Abuse host, invited his old friend Sammy to the game, but Dr. Scramble took control of him. Players saved Ben and beat the controlled Sammy, and at the end a cutscene teased the scientist. A week later, on 26 September, "DR. SCRAMBLE'S REVENGE" started, which the Roblox description calls the final showdown.
Part 1: drones and Samples (update 5)
According to the update notes on the wiki, Dr. Scramble's drones fly onto the map every 30 minutes. The wiki lists three kinds: Scrap Drone, Reactor Drone and Augmented Drone. You smash them with a bat and collect Samples from the wreckage, the new event currency. Drones with more health give more Samples.
You spend Samples in the Experiment Shop. Prices according to the wiki:
| Item | Price in Samples | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Scrambled Mutation | 475 | 10% chance for an x2.75 mutation |
| Experiment #001 Egg | 6,500 | limit 1 piece |
| Nibbles #013 Egg | 2,950 | limit 3 pieces |
| 2x Cash Booster | 275 | 10 minutes |
| 1.25x Speed | 375 | 5 minutes |
| 2x Treadmill Booster | 375 | 10 minutes |
The Scrambled mutation is one of the stronger ones in the game, but remember the 10% chance. You can find a list of all mutations in the mutations guide.
Nibbles' secret and the Scrambler bat
Somewhere on the map Nibbles is hiding, also known as Experiment #013. According to the wiki, you start in the cave on the left side of the wall in Abyss Ocean. Talking to him starts a quest: you need to fix the Stolen Experiment Vault, which is missing 5 parts:
- Lost Part #1 is in the Volcano biome,
- Lost Part #2 is behind a bush in Prehistoric, next to the T-Rex,
- three Drone Parts drop randomly from the drones.
The reward for the full set is the limited Scrambler bat.
Part 2: the mech and the Laboratory (update 6)
Since 26 September, Dr. Scramble himself comes back in his mech every 30 minutes. According to Bloxodes, the portal to the fight opens in the Titan Temple biome. The fight has several phases: you dodge the mech's attacks, smash the drones and hit him when he overheats, and at the end you lure the scientist under the towers that stun him. TimeSaver says you get 1750 Samples for a win.
Every win is also a point on the Boss Mastery track. According to the wiki, the next rewards are: Eye Bat #021 (10 points), Citadel Snail #007 (25), Uncoiled Armadillo (50), Mecha Chompa (75) and Pink Dragon Experiment #010 of Eternal rarity (100). On top of that there is a super rare drop: the Divine Mecha Scrambler, with a 0.5% chance per fight according to the wiki.
The same update replaced the Rift Trade-In machine with Dr. Scramble's Laboratory. In it you trade eggs directly, without hatching them, and the banner rotates between three pools: Biohazard, Experimental and Unstable DNA. The developers also fixed the pity system: it now guarantees the top reward from the banner.
Along the way a paid Extinction Egg appeared, with six extinct animals and a small chance for their skeletal version (Skeletal).

Is the event still running
The wiki describes the Laboratory as a permanent part of the game. We did not find confirmation, though, on whether the mech fight still appears every 30 minutes in October, so check it in the game. What changed later is covered in the Steal an Egg update history.
