Steal an Egg best pets: ranking by income (October 2026)

In Steal an Egg you have limited space in your base, so every slot counts. This ranking shows which pets earn the most, which biomes are worth taking them from, and how the "best pet in the game" differs from the best pet you can realistically get. Status as of October 2026.

How to read this ranking

The numbers below are base income ($/s), meaning what a regular pet earns with no mutation and at standard weight. In the game this number gets multiplied:

• by the mutation (for example Golden 2.5x or Rainbow 3.5x),
• by the size, meaning the pet's weight in kilograms,
• by the X2 Money gamepass, if you have it.

That is why a big Legendary with a good mutation can beat a small Secret. We explain exactly how this works in the posts about mutations in Steal an Egg and about egg size and pet weight.

The second important thing: the game's creators do not publish an official value list. The numbers come from the Steal An Egg wiki and community indexes that check them in the game. They can change after every update.

Rarity order

Rarity tells you how hard it is to get a given pet and roughly how much it earns. From weakest:

4. Epic
5. Legendary
6. Mythic
7. Cosmic
8. Secret
9. Eternal
10. Divine

Besides these there are special groups: pets from shop eggs (Brainrot, Monster, Mecha, Luminous, Extinction), from events and from Dr. Scramble's lab banners.

A note on first place. According to Timesaver's list from 10 October, Spirit World Guardian's number is a forecast from early October, not a measured value. The fusion needs two players and the pairs Celestial Sunlion and Royal Skywhale. Treat this spot with caution.

One thing worth noticing: many pets at the top of the table come from paid eggs or from events that have already ended. If you play for free, the next list matters more.

Best pet from each biome

Every biome has its own "top" pet. These are eggs you can steal from a nest, with no Robux needed. Ordered by distance from your base:

In Angels & Demons, the Angels side has ArchAngel and the Demons side has World Burner. Both earn the same. In the hidden Secret Shrine, Aetheron (6.9B/s) is made from that pair, and Equinox (1.8B/s) is made from Pegasus and Skeleton Horse.

The Enchanted Forest data comes from the pet index of 9 October. It is the newest biome, so the wiki does not have full numbers for it yet.

Best pets when you are just getting started

The top Divines are far away, and along the way there are plenty of pets that make a huge difference early on. The strongest in their biomes are the Secrets:

• King Snake (Jungle): 3.5M/s, the first Secret you will meet.
• Yeti (Snow): 5M/s.
• Cerberus (Volcano): 8M/s.
• Kraken (Abyss Ocean): 15M/s.
• T-Rex (Prehistoric): 25M/s.
• Tralaledon (Prehistoric): 32M/s.

For comparison: Brr Brr Patapim, the best pet from the Forest, earns 1.8K/s. King Snake gives almost two thousand times more. That is exactly why it is so important to train Speed and move on to further biomes instead of taking eggs from the forest forever.

In the biomes along the way, Cosmics are also worth it, for example Whale Shark (700K/s) and Beluga Whale (850K/s) in the Abyss Ocean or Bronto (1.5M/s) in Prehistoric.

Why rankings online differ

If you compare a few sites, you will see different answers to the question "which pet is the best". There are three reasons:

• Dates. Unicorn was the first Divine in the game, so September guides put it in first place. Then came Kitsune, Nightflame, Angels & Demons, the Extinction Egg and the Enchanted Forest.
• Event pets. Some lists count pets from ended events (for example from Rift), others only the ones you can get today.
• Size and mutations. Players often post the income of their own pet, not the base one. Then "Kitsune for 100B/s" is simply a big one with multipliers.

The most reliable source is always the Index in the game itself.
