Diamonds are the main currency in 99 Nights in the Forest. They decide which classes you unlock, and so which bonuses you start your next runs with. Below you will find every way to earn them and some tips on how not to burn through them. As of October 2026.
Items for 99 Nights in the Forest are in the DzikShop storeWhat diamonds are used for
According to the diamonds page on the wiki, you spend them on three things:
- buying classes in the lobby,
- talents, which are extra bonuses attached to a class,
- rerolling the class offer (Class Stock), which is the set of classes that can be bought right now.
How to get diamonds
Daily Quests
This is the most reliable source. In the lobby, behind the spot where you spawn, there is a white machine that looks like a slot machine. Pull the red lever and you get three quests for the day: an easy, a medium and a hard one.
- Every completed quest gives 5 diamonds, so you can grab 15 per day.
- Medium and hard quests also give a random Flame for the campfire.
- Quests refresh every 24 hours, and you do not have to finish all of them to get new ones.
Example quests from the wiki are collecting 50 flowers in one run, surviving 5 cultist waves or taming an Alpha Wolf.
Cultist Stronghold
The Cultist Stronghold is a building with three floors full of enemies. A reward room waits at the end, with a Diamond Chest with 5 diamonds, a Ruby Chest and other loot.
The wiki warns that this place is not for complete beginners. The Stronghold resets every 20 minutes and gets harder each time. According to the wiki tips, it opens after the first cultist raid, and for the first floor it is worth bringing 1-2 bandages, a melee weapon, a revolver and a rifle. Aim for the head.
Survived days
- Day 50: 2 diamonds.
- Day 99: 3 diamonds.
In Hard Mode these rewards are higher. We described how to even reach day 99 in our guide on how to survive 99 nights.
Chests and badges
- Chests: a single diamond can drop from several kinds of chests, including Common, Iron, Gold and Legendary.
- Badges: for each one you get as many diamonds as the stars of its difficulty level. This is the only source that does not refresh, because you earn each badge once.
Update Party
30 minutes before an update, the game launches special Update Party matches where the game's creators scatter diamonds around. During that time chests and the Stronghold do not give diamonds. How many you collect depends on luck and reflexes.
Codes
You enter codes in the lobby: open the Currency Shop and click the Codes button in the bottom right corner. According to the code list on the wiki, updated on 12 October 2026, these work:
- awardwinner_yay: 15 diamonds and 3 random flames,
- afterparty: 15 diamonds,
- forestwakesup26: 15 diamonds and 3 random flames.
There is also a hidden code: type yay fishing in the chat while fishing and you get 2 diamonds. Codes expire without warning, so if one does not work, it has simply been turned off.
With Robux
In the Currency Shop you can also buy diamonds with Robux, and other players can gift them to you with the gift feature. It is an option, not a must: all classes can be unlocked just by playing, it only takes longer.
How many diamonds you can earn by playing
The wiki gives an example plan. If during one day you:
- survive 99 days (5 diamonds),
- clear the Stronghold 3 times (15 diamonds),
- do all Daily Quests (15 diamonds),
you will collect around 35 diamonds, and on a double diamond weekend even 70. On top of that, codes and badges give one-time rewards.
What to spend diamonds on: class prices
Classes cost from 10 to 600 diamonds. An overview according to the wiki (October 2026):
- 10: Camper, Escape Artist,
- 25: Scavenger,
- 40: Base Defender, Cook, Hunter, Medic,
- 45: Support,
- 50-80: among others Fisherman, Gambler, Lumberjack, Ranger, Zookeeper, Farmer, Explorer,
- 100: among others Undead, Berserker, Grenadier, Alien,
- 150-200: Feaster, Chef, Poison Master, Blacksmith, Nightcrawler,
- 400-500: Beastmaster, Elemental, Assassin,
- 600: among others Pyromaniac, Necromancer, Gunslinger, Vampire, Woodsman, Cyborg.
Some classes are only available during events and are bought with an event currency, for example candy at Halloween.
Daily deals and the offer
Every 24 hours four random classes are cheaper: two by 10%, one by 15% and one by 20%. If you are aiming for an expensive class, it is worth checking the shop every day, because on a class that costs 600 diamonds, 20% is a whole 120 diamonds of difference.
Every new class added in an update is in the offer for one day after release.
Class levels
Every class has 3 levels. You unlock the next ones for free by completing tasks during the game, for example the Camper needs cooked food and burned logs. You can also skip them with Robux, but you do not have to.
Talents: careful, it is a lottery
A talent is a bonus from a random class and level that you attach to a class of your choice. Unlocking costs 25-100 diamonds and rerolling costs 25. The odds according to the wiki:
- 1 star: about 58.8%,
- 2 stars: about 26.5%,
- 3 stars: about 11.8%,
- 4 stars: about 2.6%,
- 5 stars: about 0.3%.
The wiki itself notes that many players criticize this system, because it is fully random and it is easy to spend a ton of diamonds without a good result. Our advice: treat talents as an extra for later, and spend diamonds first on classes that definitely give you something.
Where to start spending
A few rules that make the decision easier:
- Start with a cheap class for your play style. The Camper for 10 diamonds reduces hunger, and the Medic for 40 speeds up reviving teammates, which is useful in a team.
- Save up for one specific class instead of buying everything in order.
- Watch the daily deals, especially for classes costing 400-600 diamonds.
- On Hard Mode the wiki especially praises the Woodsman class.
